Vision and Mission Statements
The school library media program exists as the hub of the school itself; it represents the correlating and supportive component of the overall educational program. With flexible scheduling, through cooperative planning, and with an awareness of the curriculum, the school library media staff supports and extends classroom instruction.
The media center is a multimedia classroom where patrons are instructed in the use of print and nonprint materials and are encouraged to access, evaluate, and utilize information. The school library media program also strives to instill in students a love of reading, both for pleasure and personal growth, as it strives to develop a collection of quality literature.
Instruction
The media specialists work cooperatively with the classroom teachers to integrate Information Literacy Skills with specific content, as students do their research. Media lessons are offered on specific topics as well, including:
Operating Hours
The media center is open from 7:30 - 3:30 each school day.
Check-out Policy
Students may check out up to two books at a time for a period of two weeks. Books may be renewed once. Overdue books will be fined 10 cents per day up to the price of the book. No other materials may be checked out until the book is returned and the fine is paid. Students will be responsible for reimbursing the cost of lost books or books damaged beyond repair.

- Research strategies
